Freedom trust.

Description

Sometimes freedom is dangerous, mysterious, insecure, but I think sometimes worths take the risk, take the plunge into the unknown and break the monotony.

Changes are great, scary at first, but whether good or bad, always teach you something new, that we wouldn't discover if we don't try.
I think this life is for being happy, that's the main purpose, and we have to find the way to happiness. If we don't like how we're living, we have to make that change, search what is missing, what do we need to reach it, and go for it.

Some time ago that I hadn't done a drawing for myself, and even more, with some random characters with no name, just a scene that I enjoyed to do. With no description, no rules, just for the fun of painting.

This original piece will be exposed on the Midwest FurFest 2015 (On Rosemont, Illinoise, USA), if you are planning to attend, don't miss the art show and check this original.

It was acrylics and watercolors.

I think that the description and art piece work well together to explain the value of being adventurous and breaking free from the monotony of life for a richer experience. The wolf pup is shown as being out of his element by plunging and causing lots of disturbance in the water, in a pose suggesting a lack of experience, which is contrasted well against the bear cub's confident pose. It therefore shows courage from the wolf, representing the courage it takes to do something different with your life. I think how the wolf is guided by the bear shows that you can learn a lot from friends by sharing experiences, if you have the courage and trust to break free from insecurities, linking to the theme of trust and freedom.

I like the way the water colours fade from blue to green, which could symbolise the unknown/unfamiliarity with new experiences, but also how they make life more dynamic, exciting and vibrant. The fading into green could also be seen as using it's connetations to represent life, and that there's simply more to it to enjoy the further you explore it, as the characters are doing. The water and character movement and lighting effects are very dynamic, showing textures and shape accurately, especially for a traditional painting. The character design style is really cute and cartoony, yet still well detailed. Overall, the theme of the title is expressed very well and I think it has a good message.
